Other way to see video games
The video game gallery of Barcelona
Video games are
also culture
We believe a video game is much more than a piece of entertainment. It is a form of expression, an artistic language and a reflection of the talent and sensitivity of the people who create it.
BCN Game Gallery is a space in Barcelona where video games are shown in a different way.
Culture
Video games as creative heritage, with a voice of their own alongside cinema, music and literature.
Creativity
When it is not just about making entertainment, each game is a different way of looking at the world.
Made by people
Behind every work there are hands, decisions and human talent that deserve to be seen and celebrated.
My Famicase Exhibition
From Tokyo – 250 Famicom Cartridge Artists
My Famicase Exhibition (わたしのファミカセ展) is a group exhibition held every year in Tokyo since 2008, organized by the Meteor gallery. Illustrators, designers, and creators from around the world design the label for a cartridge of Nintendo's famous video game console, the Famicom (the Japanese NES), for a video game that doesn't exist… yet.
The result is a collection of labels full of imagination: covers for dreamed-of, absurd, poetic, or impossible games. Each year, hundreds of cartridges come together, inviting us to imagine what we would play if all those titles were real.
